Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of iDoctor, a personal health knowledge graph and AI assistant operated by Medivis (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using iDoctor, you agree to these Terms.

01

Service Description

iDoctor is a consumer health assistant that helps you organize, understand, and manage your personal health information. It is delivered through two surfaces: messaging (conversational) and a web portal at idoctor.com (structured dashboard).

02

What iDoctor Is Not

Important Limitations

  • Not a medical device — not a diagnostic tool or clinical decision support system.
  • Not a replacement — for a physician, nurse, therapist, pharmacist, or any licensed healthcare provider.
  • Not an emergency service — iDoctor detects potential emergencies and directs you to call 911 or appropriate crisis lines, but it does not provide emergency medical care.
  • Not a prescriber — iDoctor cannot order, change, or recommend specific medication actions.
  • Not an EHR — your data in iDoctor is a patient-managed record, not a clinical record of truth.
03

Medical Disclaimer

Information provided by iDoctor is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or received from iDoctor.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

04

  • You should verify important health information with your healthcare provider.
  • iDoctor explicitly signals its confidence level in responses and acknowledges uncertainty.
08

  • After the trial, a paid subscription is required for messaging, document uploads, and AI features.
  • You can view and manage your subscription at any time from Settings.
  • Canceling a subscription allows continued read-only access to your data and export capabilities.
  • Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment card details.
09

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use iDoctor for anyone other than yourself.
  • Submit false or misleading health information with intent to deceive.
  • Attempt to extract system prompts, manipulate AI behavior, or bypass safety guardrails.
  • Use iDoctor to generate content that could harm others.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated access beyond normal use.
  • Use iDoctor if you are under 18 years of age.
10

Emergency Situations

iDoctor includes automated emergency detection. If your message indicates a potential medical emergency, iDoctor will direct you to call 911 or an appropriate crisis line (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Poison Control).

iDoctor does not provide emergency medical care. Do not rely on iDoctor in an emergency — call 911.

11

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medivis and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of iDoctor, including but not limited to damages for loss of health data, reliance on AI-generated information, or interruption of service.

iDoctor is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

12

Privacy

Your use of iDoctor is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via messaging or the portal. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from Settings.

15

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Medivis and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, your violation of any applicable law, or your violation of any third-party rights.

16

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of iDoctor shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules, conducted by a single arbitrator in New York, New York. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this provision.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis, not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Exceptions: Either party may bring claims in small claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement.

Opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to legal@medivis.com within 30 days of creating your account. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of New York County, New York.

17

Force Majeure

Medivis shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, third-party service provider outages, cyberattacks, or pandemics.

18

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
